Tuna Bake

Quick and easy tuna dish

Time: 45min  Portions: 5-6

Ingredients

1 Tin tuna
1 Tin Pealed tomatoes
2 tbls Tomato paste
1 tsp Sweet basil
1/2 Onion (chopped)
1/2 tsp Crushed garlic
1/4 Cup cream
1 Cup shell noodles
750ml Water
500gm Cheddar cheese (grated)
1 tbls Butter

Method

Preheat oven to 180°C. Heat butter over medium heat, fry onion and garlic until fragrant. Add the tin of tuna and fry for 5min. Add the tin of tomatoes, tomato paste and basil. Mix well. Bring to a boil and turn the heat down to low, simmer for 10min (covered).

At the same time, cook the pasta for 5min. Drain and set aside. Once the sauce has simmered for 10min, add the pasta and cream, mixing well. Remove from heat and put it in an oven proof dish. Cover with cheese and bake in the oven for 25-30min or until cheese is golden.
